ANNISTON – Nominations for the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce 2015 Small Business of the Year awards are now being accepted. The Chamber’s Small Business Awards Gala has been held each year since 2004 and recognizes small business in Calhoun County with awards including lifetime achievement, emerging small business and sustaining small business.
The Chamber on Friday announced nominations for this year’s awards are now being accepted. Chamber Manger Linda Hearn says any resident that feels a local business deserves the exposure associated with the annual awards can make a nomination. Self nominations will not be accepted, Hearn said.
Nomination forms are available on the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce website at calhounchamber.com. Nominees must be members of the Chamber, according to Hearn. Nominations must be submitted by Feb. 27. The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce will announce the winners at the Small Business Awards Gala on May 7.
